Meet Chrystal Young

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion for education and a heart for serving the community right here in Victoria, Texas. Bright Foundations was born from that vision—a small but impactful learning program committed to providing personal attention and tailored support for every child’s educational journey.

I’ve been a passionate advocate for education since 2008. I began my journey in a special education setting as a paraprofessional, where I discovered my calling to empower learners of all backgrounds and abilities. In 2014, I earned my Associate in General Studies from Waubonsee Community College and continued my education at the University of Houston–Victoria, where I proudly graduated in December 2021 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and certification in Special Education.

As an educator, my mission is to help every student grow academically, emotionally, and socially. I believe in fostering confidence and perseverance, and I want every student who walks through our doors to leave with the mindset of "YES, I CAN." At Bright Foundations, our work is grounded in integrity, excellence, and an unwavering belief in every child’s potential.

I am a wife of over 20 years to my wonderful husband, and mom of 3 beautiful children, one of whom has special needs.  I am a firm believer in God and family first. I enjoy reading, cooking, and traveling with my family.
